The Music Garage opened January of 2005. Chris Wodock and Chris Rasmussen, both Indianapolis natives and childhood friends, are founders of the Music Garage. Wodock and Rasmussen operate the studio seven days a week.
Wodock and Rasmussen have been in the music scene since the late 1980s. They spent ten years in Austin, Texas, playing in a band called 50 Mission Crush and touring all over the country. The band opened up for various artists including Sugar Ray, Buck Cherry, Train, Michelle Branch, Lifehouse, Vertical Horizon, Nine Days, Cowboy Mouth, Valejo, Junior Brown, and others.
In Late 2002, the pair decided to head back to Indy and try their luck at the ever growing Indy music scene. What they found was a lack of professional rehearsal space. So they decided to create their own rehearsal space complete with a digital recording studio.
The goal of Music Garage is to bring musicians a professional atmosphere to record as well as rehearse their craft. The facility offers accessory items for purchase and a musicians’ lounge area in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
We are committed to excellence and strive to meet the expectations of all who use the facility.
